Family Earth Day Celebration
Celebrate Earth Day with US! Register your child for a Home Depot
workshop. Home Depot will be providing a “Plant Starter Kit” for
you to build together at this event. You will also receive seeds to
take home and plant. After the workshop enjoy a craft, coloring
pages and refreshments. Then head out on your own to our park
and playground for a scavenger hunt. Completed scavenger hunts
will be entered into a drawing for a prize.
20 children per session (Children must be accompanied by an adult)

School Of Rock At Paramount Theater Family Event
Take your family and enjoy discounted tickets and meet us at the
Paramount Theater in Aurora, IL. From the genius mind of Andrew
Lloyd Webber comes a rousing, feel good and inspirational story
of kids at a prestigious prep school. Wannabe rocker, Dewey
Finn, has just been kicked out of his band, he can’t pay rent and
his life is falling apart. When he scams his way into a teaching job
meant for his roommate, Dewey turns a class of straight-A pupils
into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band.
Dewey’s love of music and rock soon inspires the kids to pursue
what they love. Based on the hit movie starring Jack Black, School
of Rock inspires, entertains and flat-out rocks. Transportation will
not be available for this show. Tickets will be available to be picked
up at the Pleasant Dale Park District a week before the show.

Moms Are Superheroes Mother And Son Night
Celebrate Nation Superhero Day and MOMS at the same time.
This night will include music, snacks, refreshments, sweets, a craft,
indoor yard games and photo opportunities with some special
guests. Mom, grandmas, aunts, sister godmothers;grab that special
boy in your life and spend the night making memories.

Flying 4 Kids Statewide Kite Fly
Pleasant Dale Park District is coordinating with the Illinois Association of Park Districts in the annual Flying 4 Kids Statewide Kite Fly. This is a FREE event; however, registration is required and you will have an option to purchase a kite kit to decorate
and fly. The children will get to fly their own kites or one that is pre-purchased, enjoy a treat and more. This event is designed to create awareness and increase sales of the Illinois Park District Youth License Plate. This is an important revenue-generator for beyond-school programming at park, recreation, and conservation agencies throughout Illinois.
If it is raining, the event will be canceled and not rescheduled.
