Halloween House Decorating Contest
Do you enjoy decorating your house for Halloween? If so, unpack your pumpkins, skeletons, witches, ghosts and goblins and start turning your home into a haunted mansion. Pleasant Dale’s annual Halloween House Decorating Contest will be held the week of October 24th-28th. A team of ghost busters from the park district will make nightly rounds to select the winner. Homes will be judged on curb appeal, originality, creativity and spookiness. All decorations must be installed by the homeowner and family members. A prize will be awarded to the winner. To enter your home in the contest, contact the front desk at 630-662-6220

Friday October 21st. By entering you agree to having a picture of your home displayed on Facebook.

Turkey Shoot-Food Drive
Get your free throw routine set! This free throw shooting
contest will get your family in the Thanksgiving spirit! Prizes will
be awarded to the winners of each age division. Baskets and
equipment will be tailored to each age level. Admission to the
contest will require a minimum of one canned food.
Decorating December 1-3
Tree Decorating At Walker Park
Become part of a community tradition. Purchase a tree to
decorate with your family, organization, or business. All trees will
remain on display at the park district throughout the holidays.
Registration includes a 5-6 foot tree with stand, electrical for lights
and a sign with your name. $10 from each tree purchased will be
donated to Toys for Tots.
Register and pay by 11/23.

Pizza With Santa
Santa Claus is Coming to town…more specifically Pleasant Dale
Park District. Join us for a party with Santa. The event includes
pizza, refreshments and each child can decorate their own sugar
cookie, make a craft, play some games, and visit with Santa. Santa
will be available from 6-7:30pm for pictures. Kick off the holiday
season with us!!!
Children 2-12 - $18R/$24NR
Adults & 12+ Over - $12R/$16NR
December 9 deadline
Tis’ the season! Write your letters to Santa and we will deliver them
to the North Pole! Beginning November 30th Santa’s Mailbox will
be on display at the Walker Park Rec Center. Santa will personally
write back to each child who writes him a letter, provided all letters
are received by December 10th at 5pm. (It takes a while to get
them to the North Pole) Santa can only send letters to children
who include the following: a self-addressed stamped envelope
with the child’s full name, address, city and zip code and of course
their letter and wish list.
All letters must be received by December 9th.
